Mirco Magnani and Ernesto Tomasini's ethereal micro-sampling opera "Madame E." draws inspiration from Georges Bataille's short novella "Madame Edwarda" and the libretto is a faithful edit of Bataille's words.
It's a hallucinated coming-of-age tale of sexual ambiguity and a literary document that pioneered what we call today "gender fluidity."

This double album features original illustrations by Valentina Bardazzi and explores a series of vintage graphic references in between pulpy novels and old boxes of not-suitable-for-consumption chocolate.
The custom made typographic treatment for Madame E. is debossed on reverse cardboard.
